Our Tuscany Honeymoon
I experienced this same tour with friends in 2013. My husband had heard me talk about it for years. We love to cook and cook every night. It was his dream trip. I couldn’t think of a better honeymoon.

What I found amazing was the wonderful people I met are still with CDV. Michael and Paola, of course, but wonderful Carla, Katia,Linda, our now retired bus driver! Our guide, Larissa, was new, but wonderful, full of energy and the desire to make it a wonderful experience for all of us. Our apartment was lovely, the pastry bar, unchanged. Every day was special. Every bite and sip were amazing. I was so glad to go back to Durata. We bought a lot of pottery, 3 cases of wine and amazing olive oil. I loved returning to familiar sites like the olive oil and vineyard with lunch Al Fresco. When you are part of a group, you never know what the chemistry will be. Our group was so great. We were already friends after meeting at the Rome airport. Having two Australian fellows made it all the more fun. Michael and Paola do not exaggerate in their ads, posts or websites. This trip is a cultural experience, you are Italian for 7 days. No tour bus stop at a cathedral and jump back on You live in the sweet village and enjoy every moment the cooking classes are excellent and give you skills to make the dishes again on your own. Recipe books and aprons, too! Planning the trip is so easy, e-mails are answered and all questions solved. Returning guests even get a discount One couple in our group had taken 5 CDV trips. One thing I did differently this time and would do again and recommend doing is to arrive the day before you meet the group. We arrived Friday morning and stayed at the Hilton at the airport We had a nice dinner and slept well. We were ready for the first day in Soriano. In 2013 we landed on Saturday and that night climbing to the castle was exhausting we had been up more than 24 hours. It’s worth the extra expense. Another amazing part of this trip is that every meal, beverage everywhere is paid for If you buy a gelato while shopping or go someplace on your own, you pay of course When you are with your group everything is covered We had wonderful wines as we cooked, too. I could go on and on For this company to maintain their family of staff after 11 years and to have an even better experience says so much about this company! It was the most amazing Honeymoon!
